Good health is my very first concern in raising Pembroke Welsh Corgis. All Corgi babies are born in our home, they have their tails and dewclaws done at 3 days of age, start a worming program at 2 weeks of age, and first vaccines at 8 weeks of age at which point they are ready for heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Puppies are also started on a supplement called Sure Grow which includes calcium, phosphorus, and vitamins A and D3. 

Socialization is also at the top of my priority list when it comes to raising puppies. Our pups are handled from day one by our family. They get rolled on their backs for tummy rubs and "pedicures", they are carried around and loved on so they know no fear by the time they are ready to leave home. 

The pups don't only stay in our home during puppy rearing, when they are old enough they venture out to the horse barn where they play and grow in a large horse stall full of clean pine shavings and their favorite play toys. Here they learn lots of new sounds and smells, not to mention desensitization from all the comotion that goes on in a busy barn. As weather permits we take them to the outdoors to investigate grass and twigs, other Corgis and safely get nose to nose with some of the broodmares as our horse pasture backs up to one of our large back yards.

We truly love our Corgis and want to see them go to great family homes where they will be cherished forever. If you can no longer care for a Corgi you purchased from me, please return them to me instead of sending them to a shelter or rescue.
